Blessed Based on Jesus’ Blood
Looking at your own performance to measure God’s love and acceptance towards you is very wrong and draining. You will be living under the Mosaic Law’s curse, and blocking God’s Grace from being effective in your life.
The only thing you deserve based on your works is to be killed and thrown into Hell right now. If salvation was by own our works, one sinful thought or action is enough to make you unfit for Heaven.
That is why the gift of righteousness is so precious—it bestows us with spotless perfection, apart from our works.
Imagine how perfect Jesus is, that He could live for thirty three years without having any sinful thoughts or committing any sinful actions. He is perfect!
When bad things happen in your life, don’t keep wondering, “Is God teaching me a lesson for that sin I committed?” Such thoughts indicate wrong believing.
God does not charge you with any guilt—at the cross, He already fully punished Jesus as your substitute.
On both good days and bad days, you are righteous and blessed because of the precious divine blood that Jesus shed at the cross.
His blood ran like rivers so that God’s blessings and living waters can flow towards us like a waterfall.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB)
The warfare happens in the battlefield of your mind. That is where imagination, knowledge, and thoughts are. Keep hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that you are focused on Jesus’ obedience and not your own. It is all about how He was perfectly obedient to the Father’s will at the cross!
